Recently, The Normans have decided to get back into shape and we joined the YMCA. Last year after paying too much at Globo Gym (LifeTime Fitness) we swore off gyms, but alas, here we go again! :-)
One of the main reasons we joined the Y is becasue of Noah. Since he is not in day care, he does not get to be around very many kids (except at The Little Gym on Saturdays). He needs more interaction and we need to leave him so he can get used to us not being there (or as my dad say "He needs to Buck Up"). At first, he didn't do too well, but he is getting better and better. The other day, I went to pick him up and he was following an employee around. When we walked out the door to leave, I set him down to walk himself and he spotted the guy he was trailing. Oh, the tears! He started to bawl and had his sad face on but couldn't help wave bye bye to all the employees. Even upset, he has very nice manners! :-)
A couple of days later when I went to pick him up the lady said he was doing much better. He would cry, then play and then cry and play. She said when he started to get fussy they would sing the song "I like to move it". He would continue to cry, but couldn't help dancing and shaking his bootie. Then, he would calm down and play some more.

We joined the Y in April and we also joined there specifically for the kids. They still have their moments where they will cry like crazy and the teacher will have to come get us but Cole is doing amazingly well compared to Anna. Yesterday they both went in without a fight. I even had to come back to change a poopy diaper and afterwards they both went back in with a smiling face. Woohoo!
