Great. Just Great.

SpongeBob SquarePants has become a staple in our house.  At first I was a little worried it was too old for Noah, but it quickly won me over by being witty and by not being The Wonder Pets or Blues Clues.  Noah LOVES the show.  He is smiling and giggling constantly while it is on and knows all the characters.

The latest show we watched was about a cute little worm (named "Wormy") who SpongeBob became friends with.  SpongeBob lives in the ocean.  He had never seen a worm before and didn't know they go though metamorphosis (stay with me).  One day he and Patrick are playing with Wormy and the next day they come back to find a horrible monster (a butterfly) who had eaten their dear friend.

It actually had a lot more buzzing and even grossed me out.  Now, not only is my sweet boy scared of ALL bugs, he now knows that Monsters are scary.  This completely negates all the TV time we put in to watch The Ant Bully and A Bugs Life to learn bugs are not scary and Monsters Inc. to learn monsters are just super cuddly and (again) NOT scary.

I think we may have to go to the Butterfly Museum soon.  Either it will scar him for life or push him past this little episode.  It's a risk I'm willing to take.  ;o)
