And We Are Back... Hopefully

I have really been slacking when it comes to my blog lately.  You would never know by looking at this that we now have a complete family.  Brenna Kate was born June 1st at 11:59 am (I can’t believe she is 4 ½ months old already!!!).  Our princess was 6lb 9oz and 18 inches long.  She has been an amazing baby.  She is so happy and smart and loving.  She loves to sleep and smile and swing.  Brenna has been turning over both ways for a few weeks now and has recently found her feet.  Her toes are her favorite toys to play with and suck on. She just recently started solid foods! Every day, as with all babies, is a new adventure.  She is learning things so quick and changing from day to day.  I LOVE THIS STAGE (but I loved and still love all the stages Noah went through).  Adjusting to two kids has been both easy and a challenge.  Noah is amazing with her and is so proud to be her big brother.  It took a few weeks to adjust to the new way of life but he has done a great job figuring out his role with her.  The first two weeks of Brenna’s’ life was spent at my parents’ house.  Poor Noah was super sick and instead of having her around his germs B and I went to my parents’ house while Hunter and Noah bunkered down at ours.  You can imagine how I handled it with all my post-partum hormones.  I probably cried for the first 5 days of it.  Then I realized I had a newborn that loved to sleep and a sick preschooler who didn’t.  Poor Hunter.  :-)  After the 2 weeks, it was so great to finally have our family together…for 6 hours.  Hunter got sick the day we got came home and he moved to my parents for a week.  It was a rough first month, but we all survived with just a few battle wounds.  Since then we have really found our grove.  I have been taking pictures and some day when I learn to edit them I will get them up here.  That is actually my goal by the end of the year.  There has been so much going on that I want to document.  Soccer, birthday parties, school, tons of Brenna’s firsts… the list goes on and on.
